Tennis Clinic and Multi Sports Program

The Recreation Department in partnership with the US Sports Institute will be offering a one week Tennis Clinic and a one week Sports Camp this summer.  Both events will take place at Church St. Park and will be conducted by the US Sports Institute staff. 

Tennis Clinic- July 7-10- Cost $100

Ages 7-10: 4:00 pm-5:30 pm

Ages 11-14: 5:30 pm-7:00 pm

Multi Sports Program- August 25-29

Ages 5-7: 9:00 am-1:00 pm- Cost $140

Ages 7-14: 9:00 am-3:00 pm- Cost $160

Speed Camp for Port Jervis Athletes

July 8- August 1

Camp will run Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:00 -6:00 pm

Camp will be held at the Port Jervis High School Track.

Rain day will be on Mondays at the same time and location.

Cost- $75 person ($65 each additional family member)              Sorry NO REFUNDS.

Speed Camp is an opportunity for athletes at Port Jervis to improve speed, quickness, endurance and conditioning.  Workouts are designed to make athletes better in their athletic field.  Workouts will consist of static and dynamic stretching, plyometrics, form running, power running, and core conditioning and cool down.  Athletes will become stronger and faster and when their season begins be better prepared.

Speed Camp will be conducted by Eric Hipsman, a former Port Jervis athlete and member of his college football team and track and field team.  Eric is a past certified personal trainer and currently is a high school football and track and field coach.   Eric will be assisted by Erik Rokeach a former Division I track and field athlete who also trained under Olympic coaches.  Varsity and modified coaches will also assist.   

Speed Camp is open to both male and female athletes in grades 7-12. ___________________________________________________

Disclaimer:  In consideration of this entry being accepted, I, for myself, heirs and assigns, hereby waive and release any and all claims for personal damages I may have against the Port Jervis Recreation Commission, City of Port Jervis and  Port Jervis School District.  I hereby authorize the directors, nurses, doctors and members of the speed camp to examine, interview, test and treat my child as they deem advisable.  The Recreation Department’s speed camp is covered by limited insurance.  I will be responsible for any medical charges in connection with his/her attendance at camp.

National Night Out

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 @ Riverside Park and Recreation Area.  NNO is an annual event that builds communities, generates support for anti-crime programs and strengthens police/community relations.  Come join us from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm for food, fun, entertainment and much more.
